'Tis So Sweet: Fast Friends

Ever since we found out about Millie Janalee, I have daydreamed about her running around with little friends with hairbows, smocked dresses, baby dolls, and pigtails. This weekend, Millie Janalee met her first little friend. Caroline was born 12 days after Millie Janalee. We have been waiting to introduce them, and Sunday was the day!

Mary Anne graduated with my sister, and she and her husband were out driving in the beautiful weather when they decided to stop by Kristin and Lee's house. It just so happened that our whole family was there watching football.

We spent lots of time oooooooing and aaaaaahing over the two little ones. We compared stats, sleep schedules, feeding, and more. We passed the babies...I'm pretty sure both babies are used to that! Ha!

After a while, we all decided it was time for these little friends to have a photo shoot. I'm not sure what we expected them to do... Maybe we thought they would hold hands, giggle, and smile for the cameras. Not exactly...

They wouldn't even look at each other at first.

We thought maybe moving them closer would help...

Caroline tried real hard to snuggle up to Millie Janalee. How sweet! Millie Janalee was unimpressed! Haha!

With lots of encouragement from the goofy paparazzi, the girls began to act like friends. Fast friends! I'm sure they will begin to write letters and text each other today. Millie Janalee has already asked for a slumber party. I'm ready to run out to pick up tea party supplies and Barbie dolls! Ha!

We tried a little official playdate activity. Let's let them talk to each other. Well....maybe we aren't ready for that yet. It was more like the moms talking to the other baby. The babies? Pretty much looking at us like we had lost our minds!
